Child health forms the foundation of growth and development and sets the stage for outcomes later in life.
The North Carolina Child Health Report Card analyzes 40 measures of health and safety across three domains: Access to Care and Preventive Health, Death and Injury, and Health Risk Behaviors. Indicators are graded from A to F to reflect how well North Carolina children are progressing in a particular category relative to desired outcomes.
NC Child produces annual county data cards that provide a local snapshot of child health and safety in all 100 counties in our state. Data contained in the county cards should not be compared to data from the statewide report for corresponding years. View the latest county data card.
