In North Carolina, one in five children struggles with hunger. In some parts of the state, such as rural northeastern North Carolina, a quarter of all children are not always getting enough to eat. A new podcast from MomsRising and the NC Alliance for Health gives voice to the people behind those numbers, debunking common myths about who is hungry.
This SNAP proposal would take food assistance away from 106,000 North Carolinians, nearly 38,000 of them children.
