On January 1, 2014, Action for Children NC officially merged with The Covenant with NC’s Children to create a new organization called NC Child: the Voice for North Carolina’s Children.

These two organizations, both leaders in the state on issues of child policy, took this bold step after careful consideration of the needs of North Carolina’s children.  The merger lays a solid foundation for addressing the challenges facing our children who deserve the most effective advocacy possible.  We believe that combining the best of both organizations into a single entity is a powerful first step towards strengthening our collective efforts.

NC Child will take a comprehensive approach to child advocacy – researching and analyzing the most urgent problems for our state’s children, proposing public policy solutions, lobbying elected officials, conducting public education campaigns, and mobilizing citizens to take action. Our children deserve our best efforts.
