NC Child invites you to join us for a community discussion focused on children’s health across North Carolina. NC Child staff will hit the road to learn more about the opportunities and challenges faced by children and families in different parts of our state.

  • Winston Salem, 3/23: NC Child and Advocates for Medically Fragile Kids NC invite you to learn more about recent proposals to reform US health care legislation and its impact on NC’s children and families. After a brief overview of the issue and where we currently stand, we’ll have an opportunity to engage in discussion, share stories, and strategize future action.

  • Elizabeth City, 3/30: Join The League of Women Voters of Northeastern North Carolina and NC Child for a community meeting regarding health care reform and what’s at stake in North Carolina. NC Child’s Sarah Vidrine, Dr. Nita Coleman, and Ms. Jan Robinson will be speaking at this event.

  • Children’s Health Insurance Webinar, 4/7: Join the NC Coalition to Protect Child & Family Health and Elisabeth Burak, Senior Program Director at Georgetown University Center for Children & Families, for the latest on congressional plans to repeal the ACA and restructure the Medicaid program. In addition to providing an analysis of the legislative process and what’s at stake, presenters will outline specific recommendations for taking action.

  • Goldsboro, 4/11: NC Child, Goldsboro Pediatrics, WAGES, and the Partnership for Children of Wayne County invite you to learn more about how to build economic opportunity both locally and across NC. We’ll have a special focus on current proposals to reform US health care and its potential economic and health impact on NC’s children and families. After an overview of the issues, we’ll have an opportunity to engage in discussion, share stories, and strategize future action.
