Action for Children joined with Together NC for a protest and press conference at the General Assembly against the drastic House budget cuts, just passed by the full House the week of May 2. Protestors dressed like folks from the early 1900s and rode around the Legislature in a horse and buggy to drive home the point that the House-proposed budget would take North Carolina back 100 years. We need a budget for the future, not a budget for the past. Check out some great photos from the event, below.
