Children's Advocacy Day, March 15, 2011

Date of Event:
Tue, 03/15/2011 - 09:00

Action for Children and partners joined forces for a day of advocacy for children's programs and services, including health insurance, child care subsidies and early education, infant mortality prevention funding, and community-based services for at-risk youth provided in the juvenile - not adult - justice system. Over 300 volunteers, parents, advocates and others came out to visit their legislators and attend a press conference/rally to send the message that we can't balance the budget on the backs of our children! See photos below, and click here to see video from the press conference.
