Good health forms the foundation of children's well-being and future life success. When children grow up in a healthy, stable homes, they perform better academically, are less likely to fall into poverty as adults and are more likely to continue to experience good health later in life.
The 2011 Child Health Report County Data Cards compile 44 data points measuring health and safety to create community-level snapshots of how children are faring across the state. These data supplement the statewide report card.
