2011 Policy Success! Parents Can Opt Children Out of Corporal Punishment in Public School

Action for Children worked this session to give parents the right to determine whether their children should receive corporal punishment as a form of discipline in school.

 

Corporal Punishment: Senate bill 498 passed! The bill allows parents to opt out of corporal punishment for their children in public schools.
