KIDS COUNT Data Center, a project
of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, is a national and
state-by-state effort to track the status of children in the
U.S. This system contains state- and county-level data for more
than 100 measures of child well-being, including information on children
in immigrant families, education, employment and income, health, health
insurance, population and family characteristics, poverty and youth risk
factors. This easy-to-use, powerful online database
allows you to generate custom reports for a geographic area (Profiles) or to
compare geographic areas on a topic (Ranking, Maps, and Line Graphs).
The
KIDS COUNT Data Center is hosted by the Annie E. Casey Foundation's
website, and Action for Children North Carolina provides all of the
data specific to North Carolina.
